SEMANA SANTA LARANTUKA 

Semana Santa, adalah masa suci sebelum Paskah merupakan saat yang penting bagi umat Larantuka memanjatkan devosi kepada Bunda Maria. Maria Ibu Yesus merupakan figure penting bagi umat Kristiani Larantuka,diangkat menjdi Pelindung Kota Larantuka sehingga Larantuka dikenal dengan julukan Kota Reinha. Prosesi Semana Santa pada dasarnya merupakan peristiwa mengenang kisah sengsaraYesus sejak diadili oleh Pilatus sampai wafat dikayu salib. Dua figure penting dalam prsoesi Jumat Agung ini adalah Tuan Ana ( Yesusdan Tuan Ma ( IbuYesus ) Tua Ma diusung keliling Kota Larantuka sebagai perwujudan dari kesetiaan Maria menemani Yesus dalam kisah sengsara Yesus.

TREKKING TO ILE APE MOUNTAIN

Day 01 Maumere – Larantuka Lewoleba – Ile Ape

Arrival at Frans Seda Airport of Maumere meeting service then drive to Larantuka  a small town on the eastern of Flores island through the villages, coconut platantion, rivers, hill and jungles. It is the beautiful scenery.  Lunch we will be take in Boru. On arrival in Larantuka  direct to  accommodation. Dinner and over night.  ( L, D )

Day 02  Larantuka – Lewoleba – ile ape  ( Atawatun)

After breakfast   transfer  to the pier for boarding on   boat to cruise to Lewoleba, Lembata  Island. Arrival in Lewoleba direct to local restaurant for lunch and then drive to  Atawatun Village  (Ile Ape). Accommodation and meal at Ile Ape  home stay.  ( B, L, D )

Day 03  Ile Ape

After having early breakfast  at 03.00  trekking to the summit of Ile Ape Volcano for enjoy beautiful sun rise and to see caldera with sulfur comes out from the volcano. Lunch will be served at lamagute village. Afternoon visiting local handycraft processing such as, hand weaving. On the way to the summit of volcano stop at Atawatun ancient village (kampong lama) of Atawatun for visiting local palm wine processing, and also visit traditional houses of clans which they use for  held traditional ceremony of Bean Party (Pesta Kacang).

Day 04 Ile Ape – Lewoleba – Larantuka – Maumere

Early morning drive back to Lewoleba  then take a regular public passenger boat to Larantuka. Lunch  we will be take in Larantuka. Return to Maumere for dinner and over night.  ( B, L, D )

 Free time until transfer to airport ( B )
